Bandwidth
Applications:
- 80 kbps between Dragon Medical One and the Nuance data center.
- Virtual via Nuance virtual extension: 28 kbps between the client PC and the server/virtual desktop
where Dragon Medical One is installed. - Virtual via a native audio channel: Up to 1.4 Mbps between the client PC and the server/virtual desktop where Dragon Medical One is installed.
Optional:
- PowerMic Mobile: Approximately 12 kbps between the mobile device and the Nuance data center via WiFi or 3G/4G/LTE.
Latency:
- Network latency between Dragon Medical One and the Dragon Medical server must not exceed 200 ms. Ideally latency should be below 100 ms for acurate speech recognition to take place.
- In virtualized environments, network latency between the client PC and the virtualized application/virtual desktop must not exceed 50 ms.
Dragon Medical One resides in either the South UK or West UK datacentres, listed below is the latency between your machine and all Azure datacentres, the South UK and West UK should always be listed at the top, and will give you a rough idea of your current latency.
